Liz Neighbors’ “Doodle-a-Day” Creations at Town Hall

Liz Neighbors grew up in Manhasset and Garden City on Long Island. She has been drawing as long as she can remember; art has always been an important part of her life. Besides drawing for her own pleasure, Liz has created personalized art for children’s rooms, personalized sweatshirts, and backdrops for stages. She has volunteered with art therapy for patients and families at CT Hospice and was an art teacher at Montessori in Madison, CT where she resides.

Almost three years ago, Liz challenged herself to create art every day and she dared herself to share her colorful whimsical “Doodle-a-Day” creations on Facebook. The response was so great that Liz began selling matted prints and a business began: “Liz Neighbors Studios”. Liz sometimes creates in watercolor, but says markers are often her chosen medium because they’re so portable. Liz’s art is inspired by nature, especially the beach, and by colors that move her.
